Each one, teach one
The need
Each One Teach One is our flagship program. Launched with a vision to empower underprivileged students and foster a culture of learning. It focuses on first-generation learners—students who are the first in their families to pursue formal education; this demographic often faces unique challenges, including lack of academic support at home and limited access to educational resources.
The solution
Each One, Teach One thrives on community involvement. Volunteers, including educators, professionals, and college students, are integral to the program’s success. These mentors commit their time and expertise to guide younger students, providing academic assistance, career advice, and emotional support. This model of peer-to-peer mentoring not only benefits the mentees but also instills a sense of responsibility and leadership in the mentors.
How RFI helps
Each one, teach one is a shining example of how community-driven efforts can transform lives. By addressing the unique needs of underprivileged and first-generation learners
The initiative’s influence extends beyond primary and secondary education, playing a crucial role in reducing dropout rates in higher education. By offering scholarships, academic counselling, and peer mentoring programs, Each One, Teach One ensures that students not only enroll in higher education institutions but also persist through to graduation thus reducing dropout rates and fostering a culture of lifelong learning. The support system created by the initiative addresses financial, social, and academic barriers, enabling students to stay focused on their educational goals.
The initiative’s impact is not confined to academics alone. Recognizing the importance of holistic development, Each One, Teach One incorporates extracurricular activities, life skills training, and workshops on health and hygiene. These programs aim to develop well-rounded individuals who are equipped to face the challenges of the modern world.
