Few days back Rajani Foundation India had successfully completed the distribution of essential commodities at Khalapur taluka, the distribution proved out to be a significant assistance for about 60 tribal families residing at the hamlets amid lockdown imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals from all walk of life came forward to support RFIndia’s initiative of aiding the tribal hamlets with the groceries. The response which RFIndia received within span of 3 days from people for the distribution of groceries in Khalapur Taluka, was highly encouraging and the foundation was motivated to advance ahead with this initiative and target other hamlets associated with foundation and this time the target was tribal hamlet named Karvine situated at remotes of district Roha.
Rajani Foundation India adopted the same procedures as the one incorporated during Khalapur distribution drive. The Foundation began the process by spreading the words about the phase 2 of their donation drive via various means of social media platforms with a plan of providing aid to about 40 families and consecutively for the second time within span of 3 days the foundation was unexpectedly able to raise about the required fund for the cause.
With the raised fund on 28th day of May 2020 RFIndia was all set to help around 50 families that is additional 10 families than planned at the site and they successfully conducted the second phase of the initiative at Roha Taluka within span of 48 hours that is at 31st day of May 2020. The complete drive was coordinated and well executed by Mr. Bhupendra Bendke and Mrs. Rohini Bendke – Coordinator, Roha Taluka, Rajani Foundation India.
“One thing became crystal clear by the response of the people towards the initiative during this high time of crisis is that the efforts of foundation to connect the privileged ones with the less privileged is a great success and no matter how many times this connection needs to be revoked and utilized or whatever the economic situation be this connection will always prove out to be worthy to serve the needy.” says Mr. Bhupendra Bendke – Coordinator, Roha Taluka, Team RFIndia .
During normal scenarios, for daily grocery requirements the residents of these hamlets had to cover distance of about 18kms and reach Roha city to buy essentials. Thus, it’s unimaginable how miserable these days of lockdown would have been for residents of such hamlets but it’s even more crucial to understand the problems which these residents are facing and come up with solutions regarding how one can help them to overcome these problems to whatever extent it may be possible. We need to understand that urban to rural relation is not of lower class’s dependency on apex class but is cyclic and interdependent and nor can survive without the other.
“One might say it luck but I would consider it as Bappa’s blessing which showered on those hamlets as our distribution programme just concluded 2 days prior to the devastation caused by Cyclone Nisarga, as Roha was one of the majorly affected location due to cyclone and the aid provided by us protected many civilians from leaving their houses in search of daily wage based jobs or food and also provided them relief from starvation to some extent during such critical hours.” says Mrs. Rohini Bendke – Coordinator, Roha Taluka, Team RFIndia .
Rajani Foundation India feels proud and thankful to each and every member who participated in this beautiful and responsible initiative and made it a huge success. It is this love and support of yours which helps RFIndia to keep moving and serve humanity. On the path of humanity, we walk, we tumble, we fall but we keep moving because it is your hands, we see ever ready to lift us up and encourage us to keep going.
