Rajani Foundation India – NGO

About Us
Rajani foundation India was started in 2015 by Mumbai University students with an agenda of working for the betterment of underprivileged sections of our society.

During these three years, we have organised various campaigns and events under our core initiatives of Each One Teach One, We Donate Campaign, Clean-A-Thon, SHE- Sanitary Health Education, Gift-a-Play and Redefining Happiness. Our initiatives are based on the cardinal problems that exist in our society and we strive to find the ways to correct it to the capacity that we can.

Through our Each One Teach One initiative, we have undertaken the educational responsibility of 230 students from all over Maharashtra and conduct workshops and activities with them for their development in all respects. Our SHE Initiative is an awareness campaign wherein we educate the girls and women in the backward regions of our society regarding Sanitary Health issues. Via our We Donate Campaign we supply essential commodities to the indigent ones. So far, we have organised India for Nepal Campaign, we donate campaign for Marathwada and Water Donation campaigns for two villages in Raigad district.Apart from this we have conducted medical and dental check-ups for all our students.

Apart from Mumbai, we have teams operating from district Raigad and Palghar in Maharashtra.
Rajani Foundation India is a non-profit organisation that was started in January 2015 by a group of Mumbai University students. While the founders have moved on from their academic phase, our maximum members and volunteers remain to be a part of the academic phase which gives us an opportunity to shape the minds of our youth and direct them onto a right path.

I believe in an inclusive development of our society; hence I have made it a point that our initiatives be centred around key issues like education for the underprivileged students from the rural parts, village development, youth empowerment and cleanliness. We started with a simple agenda of delivering happiness but today Rajani Foundation India has turned into a platform to bring into effect significant difference in the society.

The external environment for non-profit organisation is very challenging. In spite of it I have seen our community come together and work for a cause.  As we continue into the new year, I would like to acknowledge the ongoing commitment and dedication of our members, volunteers and friends and thank them for their support. While the efforts of every individual are indispensable, it is the efforts of a team which is paramount to make significant difference in the society.

As a responsible youth it’s my responsibility to give something back to society. We keep on blaming the system, but how many of us come forward to make change.

We can see lot of youth taking part in different social activities and many of them wished but couldn’t find a right platform. So as an organisation, RFIndia is giving an opportunity to young minds to be a part and make some positive changes into society.

As students, we started Rajani Foundation India with a simple idea of delivering happiness among the neglected sections of our society. We started our organisation by simply celebrating festivals with the children at orphanages and the aged people at old aged homes. Step by step, today after three years we have undertaken the education responsibility of 230 students with the agenda of an overall development of our students. I owe it to this organisation all the qualities and calibre that I have acquired. The experience of surveys, reporting and budgeting is experiences that cannot and should not be squandered.
